Delos Island is an important mythological, historical and archaeological site in Greece. Delos had a great position in ancient Greek as Delos is considered as a birthplace of the Greek god Apollo, God of light, and his twin sister Artemis, the Goddess of Hunting, the children of Zeus and Leto. No mortal is allowed to be born or die on this island. People that are close to dying or if there is a chance of any childbirth are carried to the neighbouring Rineia Island.

Delos is a historical place and has a lot of stories linked with it. There are so many antiquities from the Archaic that attract visitors. Mykonos is the place from where we can reach the island by boat.

Delos is a rocky island situated in the center of the Cyclades. It was established as a holy pilgrimage island initially and developed as a political center later. It is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. It is a key monument of the rich Greek cultural heritage. Extensive excavations found important artifacts which are on display in the Archeological Museum of Delos and Athens.
